Apparently, there are only a couple of shots that I can use out of many that I tried to take. Where I was staying during the New Year’s Eve, there were less fireworks than I’m used to, and it was still unpredictable to find where the good ones were coming. What made it also difficult is that I challenged myself not to use the automatic setting while doing this. Note that I even had my camera on a tripod and set a timer to a 10 second delay to minimize the camera shake. I’m very happy with this because it’s the cleanest fireworks shot that I have made so far compared to all my shots in the past years. I couldn’t have made the shot if my wife wasn’t there to help me look. Really, it’s that hard to find good fireworks recently. My settings are ISO100, f8, exposure is 4 seconds.
